PDFs are the most frequently overlooked space for accessibility issues.

How do you even find out?

PDF elements that can be inaccessible:

• sometimes a screen reader can't read it at all

• sometimes a screen reader reads it in the wrong order

• the color combination might be inaccessible to the color blind

• it might not be fillable (making it difficult for those without printer access to complete it)

• the images might need alt text

• and oh tables, tables can need alt text OR be in the wrong reading order

It can feel like a lot.
