Course Creation Clarity Workshop:
Let's Get Our Shit Together
with Learning Experience Designer, Dr. Catrina Mitchum
In 90 minutes, I'll work with you to: Get Your Shit Together, Build Your Course Foundations, and Validate Buyer Interest
Feeling overwhelmed with creating your online course?
Not sure where to start?
Too many ideas?
Afraid you'll put in a bunch of work and it won't sell?
You're in the right place.
Why is this for you?
Because you give a shit and you want to make money.
You want to create a course that will sell, but you care about what you put into the world and you've heard courses are dead. They aren't.
People are just tired of boring, crappy courses. They want to buy courses with good reviews and proven results.
Because you don't want this to be stressful or overwhelming.
You've heard that you need to sell before you build, but building by the seat of your pants makes your eye twitch and leads to those crappy courses people are tired of = no testimonials, no return customers, possible refund requests.
You want something that's sustainable, something that lasts, and you want it to be simple.
Because you just want to get started and do it well and once.
You want help from a learning expert who can do marketing, not a marketing expert that has minimal experience teaching.
Because you want to KNOW this will sell.
You want to do this in a way that's exciting and supportive and DIFFERENT. To do that, in learning experience design, we create a foundation through a focused topic and goals for your learner. Then, to get at that "experience" part, we're going ask potential clients about our foundational pieces with a focus on them not just as a buyer, but as a learner.
You can make money and give a shit. Promise.
What & When & How Much?
When: June 27th at 12pm PDT
How much: $77USD
What: Interactive 1.5 hour online group workshop

Urgency (not false): Seats are limited to 15 so everyone gets feedback, gets to be in the hot seat, and has a chance to ask questions.
We'll tackle the chaos together and send you off with a solid, actionable plan. You'll have space and time to do the work, get feedback, and leave feeling focused, calm, and ready to get started with the course creation process.
What do ya get?
A workbook where you've created the foundational pieces of course creation that will ground the whole experience for you and your learners.
Time and space to craft a set of focused, specific questions to ask potential learners so you can walk away from your research with info that'll help you create your course and your marketing.
Feedback and space to ask questions. This isn't a content dump. You'll work through the process and walk away with concrete next steps.
What don't ya get?
This isn't an end-end workshop (we can't run through how to create and market a course in 1.5 hours and do it well), but you'll have the opportunity to continue with me in the Learning Experience Design Course (your workshop ticket gets you $77 off the course) OR 1:1.
This workshop is the first module of the course (in workshop format) and the first step in the process I'll take you through in the 1:1. Want to skip straight to those bits? Feel free to check out the LXD course and my 1:1 services.
What's the workshop process look like?
1. Sharply defined course topic.
Whether you have a bajillion ideas or your course topic is "squishy," you'll leave with a focus that's easier to tell others.
2. A set of concrete learning goals.
Learning goals help ground you for clarity that leads to success for you and your learners.
3. A solid estimate for course length based on goals.
Estimates set expectations. Expectations matter because if they don't match the experience, your learner will struggle.
4. A plan for testing viability before doing any heavy lifting.
Viability is whether or not folks will buy it. Let's check that before we get too far.

What do past attendees have to say?
"...creating [my] program proves to be more of a challenge than I expected...Luckily for me Catrina Mitchum was offering her Let's Get Our Shit Together: Course Creation Clarity Workshop.
She helped me outline objectives, answered questions, and mostly importantly organize my thoughts, and that's no easy feat ha...The value I received was much more than I anticipated for the pricing, giving me a plan of action and a model I can reuse over again for future course."

FAQs
Because your course design is going to get you sustained results. A well designed course that you're continually iterating on will help you get quality testimonials and referrals. Designing a course that will lead to client success is critical to your business. If your design is shit, you won't have return clients, you won't have clients raving about you, and 60% of revenue comes from return clients.
This workshop is going to show you how to work from a place of giving a shit about good course design and use that to do better market research.
I don't normally toot my own horn, but me. Most course creation courses and workshop are run by marketing experts. I'm a learning experience design expert that understands marketing (happy to explain the theories to you at some point if you want). This workshop is going to work from good learning design principals to give you a path to creating a good course as well as a plan for gathering information about your market and their response to your course. So you don't have to build it before you sell it, but you can sell with confidence.
I got you. This workshop is the first module in my course and the first step I'll take you through 1:1. I like the workshop because you walk away with something concrete and get a taste of what it's like to work with me, but if you want to go all in, I'm not going to stop you.
